Since 1999, Lynne Bolen has been active with New Voices Playwrights Theatre as a playwright, director, producer, and actor, and she serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors.  She was a member of the former Vanguard Theatre Ensemble.

Lynne’s play, Assumptions, is included in Best American Short Plays 2011-2012, Boulevard of Broken Dreams in Best American Short Plays 2013-2014, Baggage Game in Best 5-Minute Plays, all published by Applause Theatre & Cinema Books. Her plays published in the New Voices Annual Anthology of Short Plays include Spanish Masters (2014), Winners (2015), True Confessions (2016), A Fair to Remember (2017), 
Samantha Heart, P.I. (2018), Chicken Game (2019), Backs (2020); and in the New Voices Holiday Plays, Christmastime Machine (2017), Past, Future & Christmas Present (2018), On Target [musical] (2019), and Sunday News (2020).
