Lillian Nader, M.Ed., is thrilled to be a member of New Voices Playwrights as of September 6, 2019. She is excited by the prospect of working in collaboration with local creative professionals to bring her imaginary ideas from conception to live productions on stage. Three of her plays for adults are in New Voices anthologies of short plays, and her children’s play, “Tele-toss: A Moving Experience,” is included in the New Voices Anthology of Short Plays 2020. Her holiday plays, Blue Hair & Rap (2019) and The Sharmyn Show (2021) were performed at Stage Door Repertory Theatre in Anaheim, CA.

Born in the piney woods of East Texas, Lillian is a graduate of Texas A&M with a Master of Education degree. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and English from Stephen F. Austin University and Resource Specialist Certificate from the University of California.

Lillian is a retired special education teacher currently residing in Orange County, California. She is the author of Theep and Thorpe: Adventures in Space, a science fiction novel for young readers (2016) and co-author and editor of Muse & Ink: Soul Expressions Through Writing by Heather Rivera (2019). She also enjoys writing poetry, especially haiku.

In addition to imaginative wordsmithing, Lillian works as a freelance copyeditor of nonfiction and fiction books and stories. Both creative writing and editing keep her up to date on the skills and craft of writing. Her life is never boring!
